A generation spoilt? Why today’s young drivers have in no way had it so excellent

Study from Tescocompare.com, the economic search engine, has shown that today’s young drivers are acquiring an effortless ride when it comes to climbing the 1st rung of the ‘Car Ownership Ladder’. Not only is their 1st vehicle free of charge – usually a present from their parents for 35% of youngsters – it’s also far from being the classic ‘old banger’ preceding generations tended to take pleasure in. Today’s young drivers not only personal vehicles earlier, they own a lot more high-priced models and have ambitions to upgrade to their second auto more quickly.

Despite the credit crunch, parents remain committed to assisting their youngster get behind the wheel.
