The Marine Industry Cares Foundation (MICF) presented checks totaling $ 125,000 to their benefiting charities, Little ones in Distress and The Childrens Diagnostic & Treatment Center, at their 5th Annual Spin-A-Thon Thank You Party held recently. Guests at the Could 21st event hosted by Blue Martini in Fort Lauderdale, FL enjoyed cocktails, music and both a live and silent auction. The occasion was an opportunity for MICF to thank its corporate sponsors, the spinners and its corps of volunteers who contributed to the 5th Annual Spin-A-Thons success.

This years Thank You Party not only celebrates the achievements of MICF, but also the men and women who produced the event achievable, our corporate sponsors, these who participated, the volunteers and most of all the excellent function of our charity partners KID and CDTC, mentioned Mole Telfer, Chairman of the Marine Sector Cares Foundation. We cant say a large adequate thank you to everyone who helped make the 5th Annual Spin-A-Thon such an amazing achievement. Hats off to all those who helped this year, he added.

The Marine Industry Cares 5th Annual Spin-A-Thon, held on April 19th, was attended by a legion of more than 1,000 volunteers, supporters and spinners, community enthusiasts eager to support a good result in. The event raised over $ 150,000 for two charities that are generating a distinction in the lives of local children and households who require their solutions. Soon after occasion production and administrative costs a check of $ 75,000 was presented to Little ones in Distress and one particular for $ 50,000 to The Childrens Diagnostic & Treatment Center.

MSC Cruises and Azamara Club Cruises generously donated two wonderful cruise packages for the Partys reside auction and the winning ticket for the MICF Scooter Raffle was also drawn on the evening.
